What’s so Great about Meditation?

Numerous studies have proven the benefits of meditation.

Benefits include decreased stress, improved concentration, lower blood pressure, and reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression. Who wouldn’t want some of that?! But what if meditation is just another time to fight with your thoughts, feel like you’re not doing good enough… and end up more stressed than ever? Mindfulness meditation focuses on being intensely aware of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment- without interpretation or judgment.

Science is discovering that creative activities like coloring, drawing, journaling, and writing, have the same beneficial effects as other forms of meditation. Practicing mindfulness involves breathing methods, guided imagery, and other practices to relax the body and mind and help reduce stress.
